Enabling sound for everyone.
Inspired by a young founder’s determination to help others hear, Fetching Every Word collects donated hearing aids and partners with audiology providers to refurbish and deliver them to underserved individuals in need.
Fetching Every Word is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 2025 by Isabella, a middle schooler at the time. Isabella was diagnosed with neurosensory hearing loss at 3 years old and is aided in one ear.
After learning how much hearing aids cost and the fact they are not covered by insurance, Isabella was determined to make a difference to those like her.
Isabella placed hearing aid collection boxes at various locations and partnered with the Northwestern Center for Audiology, Speech, Language and Learning led by Drs. Fabian, Swem and Meskan.
Since 2025, Fetching Every Word has donated over 50 pairs of hearing aids to the Northwestern Center which is located in Evanston, Illinois.
The hearing aids that are collected are refurbished at the Northwestern Center and given to the underprivileged patient community throughout the Chicagoland area.
One such mobile clinic location is ReVive Center for Housing and Healing on Chicago’s westside.
The Fetching Every Word logo was created by Isabella and is a tribute to her dog “Ralph.”
